Prayer Requests 10/16/14

The prayer requests from Thursday's Love in Action meal are below.

***Recently, the Fort Lauderdale City Commissioners proposed an ordinance that imposes extremely strict regulations on shared meals ministries like ours. It's not overstating it to say that this ordinance could effectively end the shared meals ministry of Love in Action and other similar ministries. In response, we are uniting with other churches in our community as well as Hope South Florida in asking the commissioners to reconsider the proposal.

You can help in one (or more) of the following 4 ways:

1. Write a letter, e-mail or make a phone call to the Fort Lauderdale County Commission TODAY.

2. Join others in a prayer vigil TONIGHT, Monday, October 20, 7:30 p.m. at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church, 318 NW 6th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale.

3. Attend the Fort Lauderdale City Commission meeting TOMORROW, Tuesday, October 21 at 6 p.m. 

4. PRAY. PRAY. PRAY. Pray for our leaders to have wisdom and compassion. Pray that they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts, and turn.

I ask and pray in Jesus' name that we, that is my daughter and wife and I, are able to truly get into a permanent place of our own and that my wife and I can get stable, good paying jobs. -- Nicole: Today Father, I give You all the glory, as always, even though I have had - for this day and an opportunity to pray again. I thank you for your gift of bread/wine and letting me partake. I need 15 miracles now, though. I have got to get my identity back but most of all I need $355 more for a security deposit so I can move in on November 3rd, the day I get my SS check but the landlord will not wait till then for the money. She needs it on November 1st. Jesus and I cannot locate no one at the moment because of my congestive condition. I need to earn some money to make it until November 3rd, I cannot take any more street stuff from anyone. I am trying to heal my legs, tendons and now my physical body in a natural way. I need to earn $196 immediately to try to work out with the former landlord so I can get off the street now. Any suggestions, Father? I don't have anyone else to ask. During the church worship tonight, I got some bad news. I have a notice of trespass warning and eviction papers to get off and stay off a property. Can I stay on church ground? I need a special blessing, now Lord, this second, four months of waiting and being on the street too. Lord, I need a major financial breakthrough. I have to stay safe too. But I don't have anyone now, even to pray so you can change the circumstances. Father, my friend Joe G. needs a major miracle too. He needs to know you love him even more than he does now realize but he needs to keep his jobs so he can change his circumstances to better himself for your glory Father. Thank you for your provision for me Father, and many helping people you send my way to get me out of homelessness. I love You, Father. Bless Mr. Tim and Mr. Pery. May you recover my purse and my suede jacket immediately Father. I need it. I love you Father. I love you Jesus.
