-- For Scott, who's supposed to be starting radiation treatments for cancer on Monday. Pray for him to follow through on what the doctors have recommended, and that the treatments be effective. Pray for healing!

-- For Robert S., who has a colonoscopy scheduled for next week and is diabetic and homeless.

-- For Gloria, who had her eye surgery today. She asked us to pray that she completely regains her sight in the left eye.

Prayer Requests 8/13/09

Here are the prayer requests from tonight's Love in Action feeding. As many of you know, tonight we had a memorial for Gary in order to celebrate his life and the love he shared with us each Thursday. It was such a pleasure to have an opportunity to meet his family and share our memories with them.

Just as Gary played a special role in this ministry by sharing his God-given gifts, each of you is part of His plan and part of His body. I want to tell each of you how much you are loved and appreciated for what you contribute to this ministry. You beautifully reflect His love in so many ways.

-- For all those who love and miss Gary, though we know he is at peace, out of pain, and in His arms.

-- For Scott, who needs wisdom in order to make a decision about going to stay with his mother. Scott discovered today that he needs chemo and radiation to address his cancer, and he lives on the street. In order to get healthy, he needs a safe place to live. But he has doubts and fears about leaving his friends in Florida and letting his mother take care of him. Please, Father, help him let you heal his many wounds.
