Prayer Requests 6/21/18

God brings death and God brings life,
brings down to the grave and raises up.
God brings poverty and God brings wealth;
he lowers, he also lifts up.
He puts poor people on their feet again;
he rekindles burned-out lives with fresh hope,
Restoring dignity and respect to their lives—
a place in the sun!
For the very structures of earth are God’s;
he has laid out his operations on a firm foundation.
He protectively cares for his faithful friends, step by step,
but leaves the wicked to stumble in the dark.
No one makes it in this life by sheer muscle!
God’s enemies will be blasted out of the sky,
crashed in a heap and burned.
God will set things right all over the earth,
he’ll give strength to his king,
he’ll set his anointed on top of the world!

If you’ve gotten anything at all out of following Christ, if his love has made any difference in your life, if being in a community of the Spirit means anything to you, if you have a heart, if you care— then do me a favor: Agree with each other, love each other, be deep-spirited friends. Don’t push your way to the front; don’t sweet-talk your way to the top. Put yourself aside, and help others get ahead. Don’t be obsessed with getting your own advantage. Forget yourselves long enough to lend a helping hand.

Prayer Requests 6/7/18
The prayer requests from Thursday’s Love in Action meal are below. Thank you for praying with us for this ministry and our guests.

-- Shane C.: Please pray for me to get off the streets and have a better life.
-- Terrance L.: Pray for peace around the world and thank you, God, for the food we are about to receive.
-- Pray that Becky S. in Aventura Hospital lives to get discharged.
-- Pray for Juanita’s health situation and for Stephen’s drug addiction and for Lunisha, Aminaa, Mahrye, and Jayden.
-- Dear Lord, I pray that mom is in heaven. Lord, please protect me and guide me in this life and please have my mother watch over me. In Jesus name. Amen.
-- Christopher R.D.: Pray for Chris and Myishaa.

-- I need to thank God for recent blessings and would like to say a prayer for future blessing to get me back on my feet and to return as a functioning member of society.

-- Byron: Please help me. Pray for our pastor, Mr. Greg, the volunteers and their families, my 3 sons, my 3 brothers and their families, and friends who are ailing. Healing and deliverance.

-- Father, please enable Love in Action to continue to serve your children. As we struggle with questions about funding, give us the wisdom to listen for your voice and to trust in you.
-- Prayers for God's guidance and direction as to where we shall serve the Love in Action meal in the future. Please open our eyes to where He wants us to be.
