Blessings,

Soak me in your laundry and I’ll come out clean, scrub me and I’ll have a snow-white life.
Tune me in to foot-tapping songs, set these once-broken bones to dancing.
Don’t look too close for blemishes, give me a clean bill of health.
God, make a fresh start in me, shape a Genesis week from the chaos of my life.
Don’t throw me out with the trash, or fail to breathe holiness in me.
Bring me back from gray exile, put a fresh wind in my sails!
Give me a job teaching rebels your ways so the lost can find their way home.
Commute my death sentence, God, my salvation God, and I’ll sing anthems to your life-giving ways.
Unbutton my lips, dear God; I’ll let loose with your praise.
Going through the motions doesn’t please you, a flawless performance is nothing to you.
I learned God-worship when my pride was shattered.
Heart-shattered lives ready for love don’t for a moment escape God’s notice.
Psalm 51:7-17

Prayer Requests 3/27/14
The prayer requests from Thursday's Love in Action meal are below. Thanks for praying for this ministry and our guests.
Blessings,
Erika
One day Ruth said to Naomi, “Perhaps I can go out into the fields of some kind man to glean the free grain behind his reapers.”
And Naomi said, “All right, dear daughter. Go ahead.”
So she did. And as it happened, the field where she found herself belonged to Boaz, this relative of Naomi’s husband.
Boaz arrived from the city while she was there. After exchanging greetings with the reapers he said to his foreman, “Hey, who’s that girl over there?”
And the foreman replied, “It’s that girl from the land of Moab who came back with Naomi. She asked me this morning if she could pick up the grains dropped by the reapers, and she has been at it ever since except for a few minutes’ rest over there in the shade.”
Boaz went over and talked to her. “Listen, my child,” he said to her. “Stay right here with us to glean; don’t think of going to any other fields. Stay right behind my women workers; I have warned the young men not to bother you; when you are thirsty, go and help yourself to the water.”
She thanked him warmly. “How can you be so kind to me?” she asked. “You must know I am only a foreigner.”
“Yes, I know,” Boaz replied, “and I also know about all the love and kindness you have shown your mother-in-law since the death of your husband, and how you left your father and mother in your own land and have come here to live among strangers. May the Lord God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge, bless you for it.”
“Oh, thank you, sir,” she replied. “You are so good to me, and I’m not even one of your workers!”
At lunchtime Boaz called to her, “Come and eat with us.”
So she sat with his reapers and he gave her food, more than she could eat. And when she went back to work again, Boaz told his young men to let her glean right among the sheaves without stopping her, and to snap off some heads of barley and drop them on purpose for her to glean, and not to make any remarks. So she worked there all day, and in the evening when she had beaten out the barley she had gleaned, it came to a whole bushel!
Ruth 2:2-17 (TLB)

“Comfort, comfort My people,” says your God. “With gentle words, tender and kind,
Assure Jerusalem, this chosen city from long ago, that her battles are over.
The terror, the bloodshed, the horror of My punishing work is done.
This place has paid for its guilt; iniquity is pardoned; its term of incarceration is complete.
It has endured double the punishment it was due.”
A voice is wailing, “In the wilderness, get it ready! Prepare the way; make it a straight shot. The Eternal would have it so.
Straighten the way in the wandering desert to make the crooked road wide and straight for our God.

Prayer Requests 3/13/14
The prayer requests from this week's Love in Action meal are below. Thanks for praying with and for this ministry!
Blessings,
Erika
Each one of these people of faith died not yet having in hand what was promised, but still believing. How did they do it? They saw it way off in the distance, waved their greeting, and accepted the fact that they were transients in this world. People who live this way make it plain that they are looking for their true home. If they were homesick for the old country, they could have gone back any time they wanted. But they were after a far better country than that—heaven country. You can see why God is so proud of them, and has a City waiting for them.
Hebrews 11:13-16 (MSG)
-- I want to obey God. I have "religionized" disobedience. I know better but call sin because of fleshly lust.
-- Glenn: I need new sneakers, size 9 1/2.
-- C. B. and family: I am asking and praying for my case, 4/23/14.
-- Ron: Prayers for me to keep my spirit and evil spirit away from me.
-- Father God, I thank you for your mercy and grace. I ask you to forgive me for my sin and keep me safe through these troubled times; find a safe place to lay my head; to allow Miss Kathy's loving spirit to come and sing and dance for the Lord. Amen.
-- Dear Lord, dear Lord Christ Jesus, dear Blessed Mother, dear Saint Joseph, dear Holy Spirit, I pray for the salvation of the world. I pray for world peace and happiness. Won't you please save the world? Thank you so much if you would and thank you for everything. In the magnificent glorious name of Lord Christ, King and Savior Jesus Immanuel, I pray. Amen.
-- Financial prosperity.
-- Heath, financial, prayer, shelter, ID, warmth, safety, faith.
-- Lori S.: Prayer for my sister, Donna, that she feels better and her red cells come up. Praying for that miracle. She has aplastic anemia. Thank you.
-- Please pray that James and Nancy get back together. Divorced for 33 years and trying to reunite. I pray it will happen.
-- God bless us all. Shout out for all handicapped people.
-- F. K.: Pray for teeth, kids, and our families. Pray for those who prepared this food and we pray for others. Most of all I pray for a job soon.
-- Cold water
-- Bro Calvin: Prayers for my girlfriend and my kids. Also, strength, knowledge, wealth and health.
-- Mr. and Mrs. Raymond M.: Lord God, my wife Elisha and our unborn daughter, Christiana, need a safe haven until our passage to New Jersey is arranged. In your Son's precious name, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
-- R. B.: Prayers for my family, my wife, brother and sister; a place to stay; a job; prayers for myself.
-- For Dave's killer to be found, brought to justice, and made whole. For the detective not to give up.
