Consider the kind of extravagant love the Father has lavished on us—He calls us children of God! It’s true; we are His beloved children. And in the same way the world didn’t recognize Him, the world does not recognize us either. My loved ones, we have been adopted into God’s family; and we are officially His children now. The full picture of our destiny is not yet clear, but we know this much: when Jesus appears, we will be like Him because we will see Him just as He is. All those who focus their hopes on Him and His coming seek to purify themselves just as He is pure.

Prayer Requests 5/12/16
The prayer requests from Thursday’s Love in Action meal are below.
This week we ask for special prayers for our friend Kimmy, who has been on our prayer list for quite some time. Kimmy engages in self-injury, and this week she hurt herself to the point of needing to go to the hospital. Please pray for peace for Kimmy–the kind of deep peace that comes from feeling known, loved, and embraced by God. We are confident God is holding Kimmy lovingly in his arms, but somehow she can’t feel it right now. Please, God, help Kimmy to experience your love for her through us.
