Prayer Requests 7/13/17

The prayer requests from Thursday’s Love in Action meal are below. Thank you for your ongoing prayers for this ministry and our guests.

It happens so regularly that it’s predictable. The moment I decide to do good, sin is there to trip me up. I truly delight in God’s commands, but it’s pretty obvious that not all of me joins in that delight. Parts of me covertly rebel, and just when I least expect it, they take charge.

I’ve tried everything and nothing helps. I’m at the end of my rope. Is there no one who can do anything for me? Isn’t that the real question?

The answer, thank God, is that Jesus Christ can and does. He acted to set things right in this life of contradictions where I want to serve God with all my heart and mind, but am pulled by the influence of sin to do something totally different.
Romans 7:21-25 (MSG)

-- God, I am so tired and frustrated! I give up. Please, it’s your turn. Help me! Thank you for everything you have helped me with during my life. I love you.
-- I want to get my life together for my baby because I want to be off the streets when my baby is with me. This time I don’t want to go back to jail any more. Please help keep me out here. OK? God love.
-- P.G.: Pray for our children - they need to know God and who He is. Peace for Jerusalem that Jews will know God. Also that I will do the will of the Father and stay faithful to Him.

I am asking that You work on my self esteem and confidence despite reality. I am asking that my depression and anxiety and PTSD be lifted from me so I am able to prosper and help those suffering.
